At yesterday's meeting (after nearly 9 years on the Board), Nick Doelman retired from his role as Director. During his time on the Board, Nick’s guidance and sound, reasoned judgement was appreciated by all. He will be missed by directors, staff and policyholders but everyone wishes him well in his retirement and hopes COVID disappears soon so he can resume his travels!
The Board was aware that Nick’s retirement was impending, so during the past year, they have been actively reviewing their skills and abilities with a particular focus on what would be lost once Nick was gone.
As a result, at the end of yesterday’s meeting, Teresa Ferguson was appointed to fill the remainder of Nick’s term and she will stand for re-election at the AGM in March.
Teresa hails from the same vicinity as Nick and is very soon going to be newly retired from the Diagnostic Imaging department at LHSC. She will continue her work as MRI Clinical Coordinator at Fanshawe College. Teresa was born and raised in the Aylmer area and has strong agricultural roots.
Welcome to the team Teresa! We very much look forward to working with you in the years to come.
