A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported our 4th Annual Longest Day of Golf – Fore the Kids event last week. Given the trying times we are in, we are so happy that once again it was a fun and successful day.
Our event could not have been run without the support Ken, Lyn, and Tara at Dutton Meadows. Thank you for letting us “take over” the course again this year, arranging the carts and helping make the event a success. We look forward to touching base to set the ball rolling for next year’s event!
The support of our business partners, local community members, and mutual “family” was way beyond our expectations. Because of you, this year’s “grab bags” were filled with lots of interesting goodies; we had over 55 holes sponsored; received numerous “marathon” sponsorships and some fantastic prizes for our players. Many of you also took time out of your day to play a round or two in support of our marathoners.
Thank you also to the Wallacetown Optimists for partnering with us to run the 50:50 draw. Up until the beginning of June we did not know if our Longest Day of Golf event could be held, so having your support for this fundraising opportunity was a bonus.
Finally, a BIG SHOUT OUT to everyone at West Elgin Mutual who supported the day by being a "marathoner", coming out to play golf or volunteer and sell (or buy!) 50:50 tickets.
Because of everyone mentioned above, this year, “Fore the Kids” has over $9,800 it can use to help bring smiles to kid's faces!!
